The T-1B was the first post-war Japanese
designed and built military training aircraft.
It was initially powered by a jet engine made in Britain, and was also
the first jet plane made in Japan by the old "NAKAJIMA HIKOUK
SEISAKUSHOI" company.

Red and white suited this streamlined
airframe, and the painting of the airplane very much suited the
"HINOMARU" markings.
Though now retired service though, the T-1 served for about 50 years,
and brought up several generations of JASD pilot.

Hasegawa's 1/72 scale T-1B captures the
feature of this airframe well, and is a good kit.
