F-100D Super Sabre

Trumpeter's 1/32 scale F-100D Super Sabre is available online from Squadron.com

This is my Trumpeter F-100D in 1/32scale.

I built the model straight from the box. The only non-standard items are the markings, created by myself using CAD software. These are the colours of the 458th Fighter Day Wing based at Tinker AFB in 1958.

For the metal finish I used Testor Metalizers and Alclad II but only for small areas and panels.

The base coat was a very new superfine silver from the car industry. The name is Star Silver for Opel Cars.
