Platz expands its excellent miniature line with a 1/144 scale US Navy A-4E/F Skyhawk set.

The package contains two complete aircraft model kits to build two US Navy Skyhawks in four possible schemes.  In common with other kits in their amazing small-scale series, Platz's 1/144 Skyhawk features excellent detail and looks as though it will build into an accurate representation.

The decals are superbly printed by Cartograf of Italy with good colour saturation and perfect register.  The carrier film is ultra thin. Detail in the stencil decals is finely printed and is easily readable. 

 

 

The instruction sheet is printed in colour and gives good indication for decal placement.

The scheme provided on this sheet is as follows:

  1. A-4E Bu150060 of VA-195 Dambusters.   The aircraft is finished in the scheme of FS 16440 Lt Gull Grey and Insignia White.

  2. A-4F Bu154998 of VA-192 Golden Dragons in 1968.   The aircraft is finished in the scheme of FS 16440 Lt Gull Grey and Insignia White.

  3. A-4F Bu154186 of VA-192 Golden Dragons in 1967.   The aircraft is finished in the scheme of FS 16440 Lt Gull Grey and Insignia White.

  4. A-4 Skyhawk Gate Guard at NAF Atugi.   The aircraft is finished in overall Insignia White and has the markings for VA-192 on the LH side and VA-195 on the RH side.  The dorsal hump needs to be removed for this aircraft.
