Airfix's 1/48 scale Lynx is available online from Squadron

Here are a few photos of my conversion of the latest 1/48 scale Airfix Lynx.

I decide to convert it to a HAS.3 variant, as I was lucky enough to see one (XZ733) on HMS Iron Duke in April 2008.

I tried to copy the way the Lynx was displayed on the port side of the flight-deck, including the weapons.

The flight-deck was scratch-built from plastikard, and the safety netting was from a cheap plastic sieve.

All in all I think this kit is the best one ever made by Airfix. It went together like a dream!

This is only the second helicopter I`ve built in 50 years of building,and I normally build 350th warships(hence the Iron Duke model)
