Great detail and a resin aftermarket that does not require any butchering of the original kit.

Disadvantages:

No painting guide.

Recommendation:

I though the original plastic was detailed, but this will add the WOW factor to your MiG-21.

When I first reviewed the Eduard MiG-21, I actually thought the level of wheel well detail was very nice however, I guess Eduard decided there was room to improve. Boy have they done that, while there are only nine resin parts and PE servicing plates that adorn the doors the level of detail is amazing.

This is another remove casting block and drop into place. A very quick dry fit shows perfect alignment and a minimal of fuss to install. One thing not noted in the Brassin instructions is the need to cut part C1 in the original kit; this is the combined cockpit floor and nose wheel roof. This action is noted in the Brassin cockpit upgrades however, missing from these instructions.

As with all Brassin the resin is very nicely cast, bubble free with minimal clean-up required once removed from their casting blocks.

Painted and with a wash, these will definitely stand out. The only effort you will need to make is to track down your own painting references to bring the resin detail to life.
