fündekals has sent the following information on their forthcoming decals featuring new research on the famous Spitfire Mk.IXc of Johnny Plagis:

We are happy to announce our latest project at fündekals. Something about the accepted reality of what Johnny Plagis's famous Spitfire IXc "5J-K" bothered us. After tossing out everything we thought we knew and taking a fresh look at the existing evidence, we've come up with what some may think is a radical new interpretation of what this famous Spitfire actually looked like. The decal is silkscreen printed in meticulously matched colors, and is available in all three popular modeling scales - perfect for the new Eduard Spitfire IXc!

The deal features:

  • Full roundels, fin flashes, and all squadron and personal markings required for Plagis's aircraft.

  • An extensively researched instruction sheet with a four-view illustration of the aircraft as it likely appeared when Plagis flew it, as well as illustrations of the progression of markings applied before that time and supporting photographs.

As with all of our instruction sheets, you may download the PDF for free regardless of whether you purchase the decal or not!

The decals are available and shipping now! Please visit our web site at www.fundekals.com and thanks for your support!
