Bristol Beaufighter Mk.X

Tamiya's 1/48 scale Beaufighter is available online from Squadron for only USD$34.99!

Here is my 1/48 scale Tamiya Mk.X Beaufighter.

I used Model Master enamels - RAF Dark Sea Gray on top and Sky Type S on the bottom.

The cowl rings (I think they were exhaust collectors) and the exhaust pipes are Alclad Copper with some thinned Tamiya Smoke sprayed over them for highlighting.

For invasion stripes I spayed the white on before any other colours and masked it off, then masked and sprayed the black after the other colours were all sprayed on.

I used the kit decals.

The kit is mostly out of the box but I did add some Eduard seat belts and some stones from my jewelry making stash for landing lights.

Also inasmuch as it is nice to put a face with a name (and I've been on Hyperscale a long time now) here is a picture of me at the bench. And yes, my work bench really is really that clean!
