The Sword Gannet AEW.3 in 1:72 is a somewhat challenging short-run kit, and you can make it more challenging if you get carried away with the details!

On this build, I:

• Opened all the intakes in the nose

• Opened the radar observer's compartment

• Detailed the cockpit and wheel wells

• Added detail and axles (!) to the main gear 

• Detailed the nose gear

• Added wingtip position lights and taxi lights with covers

• Detailed radar observer compartment doors

The decals are by PrintScale and they depict a Gannet XL471 of 849 Squadron during the type's final carrier deployment on Ark Royal in 1975.
