Xtradecal has released a new decal sheet covering ten HS Buccaneer colour schemes for 1/72 scale kits. Timing is perfect for the forthcoming new-tool Airfix Buccaneer.

 

 

RAF, RN and South Acfrican schemes are offered here.

 

 

Details of the ten aircraft are as follows:

  • Buccaneer S.2 XW550/X 16 Sqn RAF Laarbruch West Germany 1977.

  • Buccaneer S.2 XV357 612/LM 803 NAS Royal Navy RAF Lossiemouth 1971.

  • Buccaneer S.2 XT287 237 OCU RAF Honington 1972.

  • Buccaneer S.2 XT277/H 809 NAS Royal Navy HMS Hermes 1960's.

  • Buccaneer S.2 XT270/C 12 Sqn RAF Honington 1972.

  • Buccaneer S.2 XV867 655/LM 736 NAS Royal Navy RAF Lossiemouth 1970.

  • Buccaneer S.2B XV345 XV1/2 XV Squadron RAF Laarbruch West Germany 1979.

  • Buccaneer S.2 XN977/230 801 NAS Royal Navy HMS Victorious 1966.

  • Buccaneer S.2 XT281/281 Unknown Squadron Royal Air Force 1981.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across two folded double-sided A4 and one double-sided A5 sheets. Both side views plus upper and lower views are provided for all ten schemes.

 

 

Colour notes are offered, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

 

 

As usual, the decals are beautifully printed and feature thin carrier film.

 

 

A small supplementary sheet offers serial numbers in black, white and light blue.
