Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IIa |
Yet another early Spitfire. Day after day my 1/32 scale Spitfire collection expands and I pretend it’s alright!

This is my 1/32 scale Hasegawa Spitfire Mk.IIa finished in the markings of “P7531 LZ-I” from 421 Flight in November 1940.

421 Flight was a special unit attached to 66 Squadron. Formed during the Battle of Britain, its purpose was to track and report on incoming enemy formations, giving more exact intelligence earlier.

Modifications and additions are as follows:
-
Yahu instrument panel
-
Eduard seat belts
-
Barracudacast seat
-
Barracudacast cockpit upgrade set
-
Eagle parts Mk.I oil cooler
-
Eagle parts Mk.II propeller
-
Barracudacast cockpit door
-
Barracudacast wheels
-
Quickboost exhausts
-
Scale Aircraft Conversion Metal landing gear legs
-
Archer fine fasteners.
Decals are from 3D Kits Mk.II Spitfire set #32 D002.
I have used Gunze Sangyo acrylics.
Happy modelling!
