The US AN-M65 1,000lb General Purpose was a free-falling, unguided bomb that was used on a wide range of WWII, post-war and Korean War era bomber aircraft and fighter bombers.
It was used by the US Army Air Force and the US Navy, as well as American Allies.
The M65 was withdrawn from service in 1960.
Eduard has released a US 1,000lb Bomb set comprising two bombs.
These are the versatile AN-65 bombs.
Thi BRASSIN set is made up from four pieces in grey resin and 17 photo-etched parts. A decal sheet is also included.
The resin is crisply detailed and perfectly cast.
Each bomb body is cast onto a small block at the base. Removal of the block and cleanup should be fast and easy with a razor saw and sanding stick.
The photo-etched parts are the tail caps fuses and other details for the two bombs.
The decals provide stencil markings and stripes.
Instructions are straightforward.
This crisply detailed AN-M65 1,000lb Bomb set will be a versatile accessory for wide range of US bombers and fighter/bombers in the WWII, Post-War and Korean War eras.
