Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar

Here is my Italeri 1/72 scale Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar. 

 "Lyra 5" Italian Military Aeronautics. November 1961 Kindu (Congo) UN mission. 

This model is a memorial to the tragic end of the crew, and of the companions of the "Lyra 33" massacred by the rebels who mistook them for mercenaries in the service of Belgium.

Kit Italeri 1/72, plus Tauro Model decals. 33% matt aluminum + chrome silver + glossy white. All with Tamiya color acrylics.
