Air Racing 1909-1950 Model Display by NorthWest Scale Modelers at Seattle's Museum of Flight |
The NorthWest Scale Modelers (NWSM) is an informal scale-modeling club based out of Seattle’s Museum of Flight that is responsible for maintaining a themed display located near the entrance to the “Wings Café," the museums glass-walled restaurant.
The club has a very experienced and knowledgeable membership and this shows in the quality of the builds on display.
The current display, on view until October 3rd, was curated by NWSM member John Newcome and focuses on race planes from 1909 through 1950. I've seen the display up-close and it's an awesome collection of well-built of models worth a look should you be visiting The Museum of Flight.
Well done, NWSM!
