Hello, after a long time, a brand new wooden replica of the Messerschmitt 109 rudder in full scale is available again!

This rudder has been built following the original drawings both in the assembly stage (wood) and in the long and delicate fabric covering (Ceconite 102 is used) and stitching (with underneath cotton fabric and angulated stitching).

Painting stage has been done spraying a coat of primer and two coats of aluminum paint to protect glue and fabric from UV rays.

Next was the camouflage, done following the Luftwaffe day fighter scheme in RLM 74/75/76 grays.

There is also an electic wiring that allows to switch on/off a 3v tail lamp bulb. It is the right occasion to have such a significant piece of art, perfect to be hanged at home or in a museum.
