Eduard has produced a range of accessories for the recent Airfix 1:48 scale Sea King HU.5 kit.

Tonight I review six of Eduard's useful upgrades for this nice kit.

491396 - Eduard Photo-Etch - Sea King HU.5 for Airfix kit

One coloured and one brass photo-etched fret are in the bag.

The colour parts focus on cockpit and the instrument panel in particular.

The brass photo-etched fret contains mainly exterior details.

A small printed acetate sheet is also offered.

Detailed assembly instructions are included.

491397 - Eduard Photo-Etch - Sea King HU.5 cargo seatbelts for Airfix ki

This set includes one coloured photo-etched fret. As the name implies this one focuses on the harness straps.

Once again, visible additional detail is offered.

648930 - Eduard BRASSIN Sea King Wheels for Airfix kit.

This is a simple upgrade to the kit wheels.

Five conventionally cast grey resin wheels are included. The wheels are one piece each.

Rendering is very nice with raised lettering plus crisp hub, brake and tyre tread detail.

Self-adhesive die-cut masks are included.

Once again, detailed instructions are included.

491406 - Eduard's Sea King HU.5 cargo interior for Airfix kit

The cargo interior comprises one colour photo-etched fret plus instructions.

The focus is on the radar operator, with harness straps, instruments and a nicely lit radar screen.

Detailed insructions are included.

3DL48146 - Eduard SPACE - Sea King HU.5 for Airfix kit

This SPACE set offers a 3d printed instrument panel.

Also included is a really nice front office harness straps and small cockpit details.

Instructions are included.

EX-989 Masks - Sea King HU.5 for Airfix kit

Die-cut, self-adhesive masks for the kit windscreen and wheels.

These represent a fast and accurate solution for a time consuming and often disliked modelling task.

The use of the photo-etched fret will result in a noticeably better detailed cockpit, especially around the instrument panel. The addition of the photo-etched harness straps will also be a highly visible upgrade.

The SPACE set offers a valid alternative to photo-etched parts alone.

The masks will save a little time and add sharp precision to the clear parts on the canopy too!

These are all very useful investments for your Airfix 1:48 scale Sea King HU.5.
