Messerschmitt Bf 110 D/E Iliad Design,1/48 scale
Reviewed by Brett Green
Iliad Design of Canada has re-released and upgraded one of their popular decal sheets - Item No. 48016a Item No. 48016a - Messerschmitt Bf 110 D/E. An extra scheme has been added to this incantation.
Five Messerschmitt Bf 110 Ds and Es from 1940 to 1942 are covered on the sheet. They are finished in a varied selection of camouflage schemes: There are now Messerschmitt Bf 110 Ds and Es from 1940 to 1942 are covered on the sheet Three are wearing versions of the European scheme in 70/71/65; 71/02/65; and 74/75/76. There is also a desert scheme in 79/78, and an overall black night-fighter. Of special interest is the aircraft. Deputy Fuhrer Rudolf Hess flew to Scotland in May 1941. It was his own personal aircraft and is fitted with the large 198 gal. underwing tanks for his futile journey. Instructions are offered over a folded A4 sheet in full colour, with one port side plus upper and lower views plus notes on the camouflage and units.
Decals are printed perfectly on my sample, and colours look good.
These are five interesting subjects for your 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf 110 D/E kits. This one has been out of print for quite some time and makes a welcome return - with an extra scheme to boot! Thanks to Iliad Design for the review sample. Review Text Copyright © 2024 by Brett Green
