Tamiya Model Magazine, Model Airplane International and Model Military International on iPhone, iPad, Mac and PC

In response to some questions on HyperScale's Plane Talking Forum, I have confirmed some of the important features and functionality of the ADH online magazines (including Tamiya Model Magazine, Model Airplane International and my own Model Military International).

First and foremost, when you pay for the issue or the subscription once, you may download and/or view those issues on any iPod, iPad, Mac or PC that is registered to you without any additional charge. For example, there are three iPhones and an iMac all registered on my account, so I can download and view magazines on any or all of these.

On the iPod and the iPhone, the entire content of the magazine is downloaded to your device and stored there. You are viewing the magazine on your iPhone or iPad – you do not need to be online or to download the magazine with each viewing.

If you need to reset your device, or there is a problem with content or the App, you may re-download the issues that you have purchased at no additional charge.

If you have registered on the Pocketmags website, you may also view your purchased magazines on your PC or your Mac. Please note that you do not even have to use iTunes to take advantage of this option.

Here is how it works:

1. Got to the Pocketmags website http://www.pocketmags.com

2. Register a new account with your email address and a password using the small “Register” link at the top right hand side of the page.

3. When you are logged in, look for your preferred magazine. If you are looking for TMMI, MAI or MMI, juat follow these links:

   • Model Airplane International

   • Tamiya Model Magazine

   • Model Military International

When the window opens, click on the publication you wish to purchase and follow the links for payment.

4. Once you have paid for the magazine and while you are still logged in, click the “Magazines” link near the top of the page. This will show you a list of your magazine titles. Clicking on the magazine image will open a list of the issues that you have purchased.

5. All you need to do now is click on the issue that you want to read, and the magazine will open in the same browser window. You may now read this issue on your PC or Mac.

You may print individual pages from the browser viewer on your PC or Mac too.

Please note that, unlike the iPhone and iPad, the browser viewer does not actually download the magazine. In this case, you are viewing the publication online.

If you have an iPhone or and iPad, next time you use that device you can open the App and download the same issue for no extra charge.
