How
to We'd love to see your models on HyperScale. Here are some frequently asked questions and answers, plus information on where to send your text and images: "Who Can Submit?" Anyone is welcome to submit a Construction Feature, Reference Article or Gallery to HyperScale.
"What Can I Send?" You can send text and/or images for publication on HyperScale as a Feature Article, Reference Feature or Gallery. The text can be as detailed or as brief as you like. The minimum essential information is the model manufacturer, scale, the subject and the version. Any extra information will be appreciated, but is not absolutely necessary. The text can simply be part of an email, or a Word Processor file (eg Word etc). Don't be too concerned about grammar and spelling, even if English is not your first language. We will edit your text without changing the intent of your words. Images should be attached to the email. They should ideally be in .jpg format, and be no wider than 640 pixels. The email address for submissions is submissions@hyperscale.com Please note that HyperScale does not generally accept unsolicited product reviews, but review samples from manufacturers can be reviewed by HyperScale's review staff.
"Can I use scanned pictures from books and magazines?" We cannot post scanned pictures from books or magazines, or images from the Internet that are under Copyright. Also, your own pictures and/or text must not be subject to Copyright by any other parties (if you have been paid for your words and text by another publisher or website). Copyright protection for material published in books, magazines and the Internet is still in place for the purposes of an article on HyperScale.
"Can I use my Article and/or Pictures elsewhere on the Internet or in magazines after it has been submitted to HyperScale?" HyperScale does not "own" your article or pictures when you send them to us. You are simply giving HyperScale permission to publish your words and pictures on HyperScale, or related websites and media (for example, your words and pictures may be included on a HyperScale Archive CD at some time in the future).
How does HyperScale select articles to include in What’s New for the Feature and Gallery sections? The daily content of HyperScale is carefully selected from the pool of available material. This material includes reviews, industry news, reference photos, model articles and model photos. Since HyperScale is an actively edited on-line modeling magazine , the decision about which material is posted in "What's New" will depend on a large number of criteria including the following factors:
According to these criteria, not all submissions to HyperScale will be selected for publication in "What’s New".
Will I be
informed if my submission is selected?
HyperScale has established the Plastic Pix forum to allow modelers to post their own pictures and present a write-up about the model.
HyperScale does not pay for articles at this stage.
